Alterium, the new Italian power metal quintet led by Nicoletta Rosellini (ex-Kalidia, Walk In Darkness), have set to release their debut album “Of War and Flames” on March 8th, 2024, via AFM Records.
Singer and songwriter Nicoletta Rosellini says: “This album marks my musical rebirth and contains all that I love in music: great melodies, fast riffs, majestic arrangements and powerful lyrics. We can’t wait to share the whole album and hit the road”!

Born in late 2022, Alterium consists of vocalist Nicoletta Rosellini and former bandmates Paolo Campitelli (guitars) and Dario Gozzi (drums) from Kalidia, soon joined by Alessandro Mammola (guitars, also in Draconicon) and Luca Scalabrin (bass, also in Altair).
After Kalidia split, Nicoletta decides to take a different approach and finally unleashes her whole potential as both a singer and a songwriter. Under the guidance of producer Lars Rettkowitz (Freedom Call), Alterium records their bombastic debut album entitled “Of War and Flames”. The album features 9 original classy power metal tracks and a cover of the Sabaton classic “Bismarck”.
During her experience with Kalidia, Nicoletta achieved a consistent fame and she currently have more than 50,000 followers on social media. Kalidia’s well-acclaimed second album “The Frozen Throne” (2018) reached more than 4 million streams on Spotify, 6 million views on YouTube and over 4,000 physical copies sold.
Nicoletta is also known for being the lead singer of the band of mysterious gothic metallers: Walk In Darkness (studio project). Nicoletta and Walk In Darkness released 4 successful albums and can boast more than 13 million views on YouTube.
Besides her musical career, Nicoletta is an acclaimed influencer for the geek/nerd culture (Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, Warner Bros, Nintendo, Hogwarts Legacy, Asmode, and more). She’s a regular guest on the Italian TV show ‘Crossover Universo Nerd’ and she’s also performed (both with Kalidia and for her ‘solo nerd show’) at the most important Italian comicons, such as Lucca Comics and Games, Milan Games week, Rimini Comix, Torino Comics.
Nicoletta is also a brand influencer for several gothic/metal clothing brands such as EMP, Restyle.pl, Spiral Direct.
