Ciconia Animal Chapters coverInstrumental Modern Metal act Ciconia are ready to blow us away with their upcoming studio album “Animal Chapters” coming out on February 10th, 2023, via Art Gates Records worldwide.

This detailed artwork has been created by Indonesian illustrator Yan Sek and in words of the band it represents: “It reflects the inner animal of the members of the band and all the rage and work that has been put into the creation of this album. Bringing the bottled rage out, each of the songs represents a wild animal and the human alter ego of said beast. We live in savage times determined by all the artificial things that surround us, we were supposed to be wild and live in nature where we were born, grew up, hunted, loved, died… the human evolution has brought the animal involution of humanity and our decadence as a species”.

The Modern Metal act explains their new sound in this way:
“‘Animal Chapters’ is a direct, rough and animal album that also has melodic parts with which we stitch the past and the present of the band, facing the future. This album has been a challenge for us due to the adaptation of our new band member and the construction of our own studio. We felt the need to create it very slowly, in fact much of the material and songs were discarded because we wanted to take a step forward and give it a stylistic twist, had we not done that, the project would have possibly ended. We have lived through many difficult moments (tour cancellations due to the pandemic, line-up changes…) and together with the times of uncertainty that have come, it generated in us that animal rage that has been the engine of this new album that we are so proud of”.

“Animal Chapters” has been produced by Jorge Fraguas and recorded, mixed and mastered by Red House Studio Valladolid.
