Ciconia, the Progressive Instrumental Metal band, finally reveals the details of their new studio album “Synaesthetic Garbage”, which will be out on March 14th, 2025, through Art Gates Records!
The cover art was created by Trevor Johnson, who directed several of the band’s music videos.
The combination of realistic elements, such as the human face and storks (symbols of the band), along with abstract textures and intense color patterns, reinforces the concept of synesthesia, where the senses intertwine, creating a multisensory experience.
According to the band: “This is the most challenging album to write and record in our entire history; we have taken risks and fully committed to short and concise structures while aiming to give each song the highest possible expression, which has always been difficult for a style like ours unless we used much longer songs. It has been the culmination of a progress we began with the previous album, and with this new work, we have decided to take it a step further, even leaving behind musical concepts that, in other albums and circumstances, we would have felt more comfortable with. But we have always embraced taking risks and doing new things, even for ourselves”.
The album’s crystal-clear production was handled by the band’s bassist, Jorge Fraguas, allowing every detail to shine.
Mixing and mastering were completed by Jorge Casús, who also worked on their previous album, “Animal Chapters”.
This album will attract metal, Djent, and experimental music fans, further cementing Ciconia’s status in the instrumental metal scene.
