Following the release of their latest studio album, “Call of the Sirens” (released in 2023 via Massacre Records), epic metal trio Craving is proud to announce their first-ever live album, “Calling the Sirens of the Old Fortress”, for a release on May 31st, 2025, exclusively on LP via Kernkraftritter Records!
Recorded live on October 21st, 2023, at the legendary Cadillac Oldenburg in Germany — the very venue where frontman Ivan Chertov began his musical journey — this album captures two decades of passion, energy, and an uncompromising dedication to melodic death metal. This release is far more than a live recording; it is a piece of live metal history! Every note and riff reflects the raw, unfiltered power of Craving’s live performance, who awe audiences with their unique fusion of melodic black metal, melodic death metal, and traditional heavy metal epicness on stages of all sizes since 2005, now immortalized on a limited LP edition.
Meticulously mixed by Ivan Chertov and exclusively mastered for vinyl by Christoph Brandes of Iguana Studios (renowned for his work with Necrophagist, Imperium Dekadenz, and The Spirit), “Calling the Sirens of the Old Fortress” delivers an exceptionally organic sound that vinyl collectors and audiophiles will cherish. To add further exclusivity, the entire concert was filmed and will premiere as an epic live concert video on YouTube on the day of release. This unique combination of audio and visual experiences makes “Calling the Sirens of the Old Fortress” an absolute must-have.
