Deadguy Buyer’s Remorse: Live From the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest coverAfter 18 years of delivering metal’s finest magazines, books and tours – not to mention annual bicoastal destination events under the Metal & Beer Fest banner – it was a no-brainer for the ever-expanding Decibel empire to launch its own record label. And Decibel Records’ inaugural slab of wax is more than worthy of your fixation: Deadguy’s “Buyer’s Remorse: Live From the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest” arrives for pre-order today via Decibel Magazine’s webstore and Deadguy online, here, for a June 10th, 2022, release.

If you’re (understandably) jonesing for a taste of what’s to come, check out this pro-shot video of Deadguy administering “Pins and Needles” from Metal & Beer Fest: Philly 2021”, below.

Decibel’s Editor in Chief Albert Mudrian comments: “Decibel Records is our latest love letter to the completist metal fan. Documenting and immortalizing the special live sets from Decibel’s live events with equally unique limited releases is just the first step for Decibel Records. We won’t reveal our future plans just yet, but readers can expect more exclusive partnerships like this with the artists who have graced our pages and dominated our stages for decades”.

Limited to 1,000 copies over four variants, this LP features Deadguy’s complete set from the classic lineup’s first show in 25 years, recorded live in front of a sold-out crowd at Metal & Beer Fest: Philly on September 25, 2021. Including their vicious cover of Black Flag’s seminal “Police Story”, the New Jersey mathcore cult heroes ripped through a blistering 14-song set of classic cuts from their first two EPs and (as of today) lone 1995 full-length, Decibel Hall of Fame inductee “Fixation on a Co-Worker”.

“The Decibel team have always been super supportive of Deadguy, and it’s a huge honor to be on the maiden voyage of Decibel Records”, says Deadguy drummer Dave Rosenberg. “The dedication to heavy music that Decibel is famous for is something we identify with completely, and the Philly festival was an incredible re-emergence from our 20-year hiatus”.

Whether you were among the lucky in attendance or cursing your 9-to-5 for keeping you out of the pit, this extra special occasion has been commemorated with a multitude of collector-friendly bonuses to help you recapture the magic. Not only does every copy of “Buyer’s Remorse” include a full-color, double-sided fold-out poster, as well as a snazzy spot-gloss (aka spot UV) enhanced album jacket – but collectors also have their choice of multiple colored vinyl editions:

• Standard Black vinyl, limited to 400 copies – here

• Translucent Orange vinyl, limited to 300 copies (band edition) – here

• Silver vinyl, limited to 200 copies (available exclusively at Metal & Beer Fest: Philly on June 10-11, 2022)
