Evanescence is set to release their new studio album, “Sanctuary”, on June 5, 2026. This is the band’s first album in five years.
The band has also unveiled the lead single, “Who Will You Follow”. Watch the lyric video below.
“Who Will You Follow” opens with Amy Lee’s instantly recognizable, haunting vocals over her piano playing. However, it doesn’t take long for the song to transition into a heavy riff leading up to the chorus: “What have you done to me? You drain the life out of me till I don’t know myself. When all your faith in reality fades away, who will you follow then?”
“Sanctuary” marks Evanescence sixth proper studio album overall, and the follow-up to 2021’s “The Bitter Truth”. On June 5th, it will be released as a digital album, standard CD, deluxe CD and limited-edition box set, while a double vinyl will be released on September 4th, 2026.
Comments Amy: “This album is over three years in the making, and finally listening back to it all at once, about to release it to the world, I am so damn proud of every second of it. It’s overwhelming. Working on it has been my outlet for so much that feels wrong and out of control, and a place to ignite hope through the power of music and connection… good thing we have the tour all lined up or I wouldn’t know what to do with myself now! I’ve been completely obsessed. I’m dying for the fans to hear this”.
