Modern metalcore outfit HumanKind has announced their upcoming studio album, “Perfect World”, set for release on December 4th, 2026, via ROAR – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music.
Alongside the album announcement, the band unleashes their latest single “Drain Me”, offering a powerful new glimpse into their next chapter.
A dark, high-impact modern metalcore track combining crushing breakdowns, melodic hooks and an emotionally charged theme of being consumed by someone who takes everything and gives nothing back. “Drain Me” turns emotional exhaustion and loss of identity into an intense, immediate and highly relatable release.

“With ‘Drain Me’, we shift the focus from mental illness itself towards the psychological impact of modern digital culture. The song explores how social media has transformed people into content, where emotions, struggles and even identities are consumed within seconds before attention moves on to the next distraction.
The lyrics describe someone slowly losing themselves while constantly performing for an invisible audience. Validation becomes addictive, authenticity fades and eventually nothing remains except emotional exhaustion. The relentless pace of the music mirrors the endless cycle of scrolling, posting and searching for approval. Ultimately, ‘Drain Me’ asks a simple question: are we still controlling technology, or has technology quietly started controlling us?”

Following previously-released singles such as “Desire to Die”, “Humans”, “The Darkness I Own”, the stirring Billie Eilish cover version of “lovely” featuring Enemy Inside vocalist Nastassja and now “Drain Me” setting the tone, HumanKind are preparing to unleash their much-awaited, second studio album.
With “Perfect World”, HumanKind take a decisive step forward and deliver their most emotional, ambitious and, at the same time, heaviest work to date. Where their previous record, “An End, Once and for All”, focused primarily on surviving inner darkness, “Perfect World” asks a much bigger question: What does it mean to remain human in a world that seems to lose its humanity every day?
While remaining firmly rooted in modern metal, the band combines metalcore with cinematic atmospheres, crushing breakdowns, melodic choruses and emotionally driven songwriting. Every song stands on its own while contributing to one cohesive story that encourages listeners not only to confront difficult emotions, but also to realize that they are never truly alone in facing them. Darkness and hope exist side by side throughout the record, reflecting HumanKind’s core message that even at our lowest points, we don’t have to face our battles alone. Music connects us. More uncompromising in its heaviness and more vulnerable in its emotions, “Perfect World” captures HumanKind at their most intense and authentic yet.
Behind its title, “Perfect World” is anything but an escape into perfection.
“Throughout the album we explore depression, anxiety, trauma, loneliness, social isolation, digital exhaustion, environmental collapse and the growing disconnect between people”, the band comments. “Despite addressing these heavy topics, ‘Perfect World’ is not an album about hopelessness. It is about resilience. It is about choosing compassion over indifference and finding purpose even when the world around us appears to be falling apart”.
The album follows an emotional progression. It begins deep within the mind, confronting personal battles and internal demons. As the songs unfold, the perspective widens towards society as a whole, questioning our relationship with technology, with each other and with the planet itself. Ultimately, the title track “Perfect World” brings every idea together, reflecting on everything humanity had, everything it lost and everything that may still be worth saving.
Once again the band joined forces with Christoph Wieczorek (Annisokay, Sawdust Recordings), who handled production, mixing and mastering.
