Swedish melodeath metal masters In Mourning have announced to reissue their former, groundbreaking 2012 album “The Weight of Oceans”!
Slated for a re-release on February 14th, 2025, as a Limited Double 180g Green Vinyl and CD Digipack, “The Weight of Oceans” will be reissued in cooperation with Dalapop under license from Spinefarm Records.
A new exclusive T-shirt design will accompany the release!
“The Weight of Oceans” marked the band’s mythology inspired conceptual story that journeys to the sea. Musically, In Mourning blends a broad spectrum of influences into a foundation of melodic death metal. Thrusting from doomy metal-riffs, blasting drumbeats and deep growling vocals to calm breezes of clean flowing melodies and harmonies.

“Even though this is our third record, it feels like it’s the one that has been with us the longest. I remember when the recordings were done, that we talked about the third record as being ‘the one’ that would prove if bands were the real deal or not”.
