Foreigner reigns as one of the world’s greatest rock bands of all time. Lou Gramm is the voice and key songwriter along with Mick Jones that catapulted the band through the decades with many hits songs and multi-platinum albums worldwide.
Lou also has a stellar solo career, with many fine albums like “Ready or Not” (recently released on Friday Music Vinyl) and hits singles like “Midnight Blue” and “Just Between You And Me”.
Today, Lou Gramm unveiled “Young Love”, the first single from his upcoming solo album, “Released”, which is set to be released on March 27th, 2026, through HNE Recordings and Cherry Red Records. Vinyl versions will be available via Friday Music.
The new solo album features ten original songs co-written by Lou Gramm and his former Black Sheep bandmate Bruce Turgon. While the material draws heavily from the era that helped define Gramm’s career, the album also carries a strong sense of reflection and closure. A promotional tour is planned for later this summer, with full headlining dates expected to be announced soon.
Speaking about the project, Gramm explained the origins of the material and why it was important to finally share it. He commented: “My new album ‘Released’ is a collection of unreleased songs that were recorded in the 1980s during the production of my three previous solo albums. These are powerful, heartfelt songs with a great vintage sound taken right from my old multitrack tapes. This new album was a long time coming and it’s a real nostalgia trip. When I pulled these songs out of the vault, I knew I had to finish them for my fans around the world, so they can experience what I did when I first heard them after all these years. It means a lot to me to finally see this album released, to be taken back in time when I hear this music again, to remember working with all these great musicians, and to feel that my catalog is now complete”.
Produced by Lou Gramm himself, “Released” features contributions from a notable lineup of musicians. Tony Franklin appears on bass for “Long Gone”, while Vivian Campbell of Def Leppard delivers guitar work on the opening track “Young Love”. Longtime collaborators are also part of the project, including Ben Gramm, Lou’s brother, on drums. The finished album balances a timeless rock feel with a personal, reflective tone that connects directly to the period when Gramm became one of rock’s most recognizable voices.

Most recently, being honored with Foreigner in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, and also returning to the stage to sing with Foreigner in selected shows in 2025 into now, Lou Gramm surprised a lot of fans recently, as its been announced that he was working on a brand new solo album. That long awaited album is now reality.
