There are few truly unique musical artists, but the music made by Italian producer Victor Love as Master Boot Record arguably exists in a category of its own. Fans of that music were finally able to see the full live band in all of its CRT and chiptune glory throughout Europe in February.
Now Master Boot Record announces their return to the stages in November & December 2023. See below for full dates.
Founder & producer Victor Love is excited: “After our first European tour went so great and beyond any expectations we are excited to announce we’ll be back spreading the code across Europe again in November, bringing our synth metal, computers and crts across other countries were we have never been so far!
For the first time we’ll hit Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Hungary as well as several cities of Germany and Netherlands we did miss during the first leg and we can’t wait to meet you all! We’ll be also bringing a slightly longer set and getting ready to perform new songs out of our extensive discography. Don’t forget to bring your floppy disks. We’ll bring ours”.

Founder/producer Victor Love adds: “The live sound of Master Boot Record is the result of combining synth guitars and chiptune leads from studio album written by myself via MIDI with live performed guitars playing in sync with them. This is especially challenging for lead guitar parts that aren’t written according to natural guitar playing positions. By combining synthesizers and real instruments (baritone guitar, lead guitar and drums) the live show of MBR is a different experience from the studio albums that are instead 100% synthesized”.
Additionally, live videos from the tour have been appearing on YouTube, including a performance of “FTP” from Nantes, France, below.
