Of The Muses Underheavens — Of Blood, Ghosts and Saltwater coverOf The Muses’ sophomore studio album, very evocatively titled “Underheavens — Of Blood, Ghosts and Saltwater”, begins to take shape in its most complete and intimate essence.

Today we present to you the wonderful cover created by Tryfar and the complete tracklist that will make you feel under your skin the emotions and the beauty of this album.

Tracklist:
1. Intro
2. A Summer Burial
3. Spirits Interlude
4. Pilgrimage
5. The In-Between was a Fever Dream
6. Phantom Limb
7. The Night
8. Underheavens (Outro)

Cristina Rombi, mind and soul of the project, has recorded this second creature at Opus Magnum Studio, ran by famed producer and musician Déhà (Slow, Silver Knife, Wolvennest, former Dropdead Chaos among others). His skill impressively shaped the sound of the Italian artist’s newest endeavor. If with “Senhal” Cristina Rombi ushered us into a world of poetry, anger and melancholy, for “Underheavens — Of Blood, Ghosts and Saltwater”, the talented Italian multi-instrumentalist will take us into a very private and intimate universe equally full of pain, but painted with utterly vulnerable and existential tinges, no longer conveyed through the extremism of screams, blastbeats and distortions, but rather with impressive emotional depth and staggering transparency both in lyrical themes and musical delivery.

Cristina explains: “To finally introduce an album I poured my heart and soul into, is something that makes me incredibly happy. Without a doubt, this is the kind of record I always wanted to make, and I’m glad My Kingdom Music is supporting me in its release.

At its core, this is an album about addiction, illness and losing a parent to AIDS during the health crisis of the 80s/early 90s. But in a broader sense, it’s also about breaking cycles, finding closure, the devastating consequences of dehumanization and erasure, reckoning with life and death and what to do with the time we’re granted here on Earth.

Crafting these songs and sharing these stories was something I felt the urgent need to do, and I hope you will find them worthy of your time and attention”.

We are deeply proud of what is about to emerge and incredibly eager to share it with all of you. “Underheavens — Of Blood, Ghosts and Saltwater” will be released on April 25th, 2025, via My Kingdom Music in LP, digipak CD, tape and digital format and you can pre-order here.

Of The Muses is intimate, emotional and unique Art.
