ONI London Show 2025 posterHaving recently dropped his highly-anticipated new EP, “Genesis”, breakout Canadian metal visionary ONI has shared details of his first UK live appearance in 10 years, with a headline performance at London’s Camden Assembly on Friday 4th July. The intimate show arrives ahead of his recently announced Radar Festival debut, the following day, on Saturday 5th July.

On his long-awaited return to the UK, Jake Oni enthuses:
“I can’t believe it’s been nearly 10 years since I last played the UK. Super stoked to come back over! The UK has always been a blast, I love it there, and couldn’t be happier to do my first headline show in London”!

Artist pre-sale tickets are available Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th February here, with general on-sale Friday 21st February. All tickets are available here.

Following a year of single releases and skyrocketing trajectory that’s seen ONI’s YouTube and Spotify numbers exceed 4M views and streams combined, mastermind Jake Oni recently unveiled his full vision, capping off the release with the latest crushing single “Erase”.

Produced by Josh Gilbert (Spiritbox), “Genesis” is an alt-metal milestone, ushering in a new anthemic direction for the project. All killer, no filler, the EP features incendiary tracks including “Deja Vu”, “Walk Away”, “Control”, “Realign” and the newest song “Erase”, which is accompanied by the lyric video above.

Commenting on the release of Genesis, Jake Oni says:
“The Genesis’ EP is a huge step up for me! This is easily my best body of work so far. I hope everyone has enjoyed the singles, I cant wait to hear the fan reactions for ‘Erase’ as it’s an important song to me”.

Stream “Genesis” here.

Formed in 2014 by vocalist Jake Oni, ONI quickly became one of Canada’s most promising artists with their distinct amalgam of experimental progressive songwriting, brute metalcore savagery and cathartic melody. The five-piece roared to life with the release of their 2016 debut album, “Ironshore” (Metal Blade Records), which was produced by Josh Wilbur (Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Dillinger Escape Plan) and featured guest vocals by Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe on the song, “The Only Cure”.

ONI followed up with a monstrous “Alone” EP in 2019, and returned with their critically lauded second full-length, “Loathing Light” in 2022, that boasted guests Iggy Pop and Blythe on the song “Secrets” and “Heart to Stone”, which was featured on Spotify’s Best of Kickass Metal 2022 playlist.

During their rise in the heavy music realm, ONI has shared stages with Megadeth, Gojira, Bullet for My Valentine, Starset, Children of Bodom, Rob Zombie, Death Angel and The Devin Townsend Project.

2023 was ONI’s biggest and most pivotal year yet, and saw the release of their third full-length album, “The Silver Line”. Dynamic but still cohesive, the LP was produced, mixed, and mastered by the duo of Spiritbox bassist Josh Gilbert and Joe McQueen (As I Lay Dying, Light The Torch, Bad Wolves). “The Silver Line” is as ambitious as it is catchy and incisive – pushing the metalcore genre forward into the light of mainstream accessibility, enormous hooks fused with colossal riffs and catchy melodies. A quick perusal of the guests featured on ONI’s third album reveals the wide range of their appeal. “Silence in a Room of Lies” pairs ONI with YouTuber and musician Jared Dines. “Underneath My Skin” features Sleeping With Sirens frontman Kellin Quinn. “Aura” boasts Gilbert and ex-Killswitch Engage singer Howard Jones. Pop-punk-resurgence star Sueco lends his voice to “Spark”. “The Silver Line” upped the ante once more, adding another full-length chapter to ONI’s ever-expanding songbook.
