Osyron self-titled studio album coverCanadian modern metal band Osyron present an electrifying offering in their new single release, “Higher”. Alongside the atmospheric track, the Canadians have launched their pre-sale for the forthcoming, self-titled, studio album. “Osyron” is scheduled for release on November 27th, 2026, via Distortion Music Group (DMG) – Powered by Reigning Phoenix Music.

Guitarist Bobby Harley shares:
“We chose this song as the first single because we feel it’s a great representation of the band as we are now, and a good overall idea of the album. We wanted you to be able to sing the chorus right back to us after hearing it for the first time, but then leave you with a sore neck from the outro. It has all you love in an Osyron song – catchy chorus, heavy verses, dual guitar harmonies, drums, and even vocals.

Also, this is one of those tracks where the foundation is much older than you’d expect. The riffs and polyrhythmic patterns in the verses and outro were pulled from an idea Tyler wrote back in 2013. It finally felt like the right time to revive it, bringing it to life collaboratively with many more years of musical growth behind us”.

Emerging out of an immersive atmospheric haze, “Higher” erupts into life with a ferocious brutality manifested through thunderous guitar rhythms and discordant harmonies. The track’s chorus soars with melodic intensity, while the heavy power remains relentlessly impactful. Through compelling vocal melodies to monstrous harsh, Osyron demonstrate their prowess for balancing a sonic attack and ethereal soundscapes.

Of the DMG signing, the band also comments:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be joining the Distortion Music Group family for this next chapter of Osyron. After more than a decade of building this band, releasing four somewhat okay albums, playing shows across North America and Europe, developing our sound, and even having a Polish guy in the band, finding the right label for this record was extremely important to us.

DMG’s passion for heavy music, their international reach, and the connections they have throughout the metal community make them the perfect partner for what we want to accomplish with this album.

This album represents a huge step forward for us, and we couldn’t be more excited to have the babes at Distortion Music Group right there beside us as we enter this new era”.

Maurizio Iacono, General Manager of DMG, commented: “We are proud to introduce Osyron to the DMG family. The band is one of Canada’s best-kept secrets that will finally get the chance to shine on a world stage; We are happy to have them on board as they continue their journey through the progressive power metal world”!

Osyron is a Canadian modern metal band known for powerful lyrics, complex melodies, soaring clean vocals, and carefully placed contrasting vocal styles. Originally formed in 2012, the band currently features vocalist Reed Alton, guitarists Krzysztof Stalmach and Bobby Harley, bassist Tyler Corbett, and drummer Cody Anstey.

Their latest album, “Momentous” (November 2022), marked a major step forward for the band internationally. Three of its four singles, “Dominion Day”, “Beyond the Sun”, and “Anunnaki”, were featured on Spotify’s All New Metal playlist for over four weeks, while “The Deafening”, featuring Stu Block of Iced Earth, Annihilator and Into Eternity, together with Percival Schuttenbach of The Witcher 3 OST, received praise from both media and fans. To date, Momentous has surpassed 174,000 streams on Spotify alone, and Osyron was nominated for Metal Band of the Year at the 2023 Western Canadian Music Awards. Osyron has shared the stage with renowned acts including Nightwish, Insomnium, Evergrey, Dark Tranquillity, Kamelot, Dragonforce, Amorphis, Kreator, Destruction, Hypocrisy, and many more, including appearances connected to 70,000 Tons of Metal.

Their metal version of “O Canada” was licensed for a Destination Canada ski video shown before all screenings of Warren Miller’s 2021 film Winter Starts Now, and the band received the prestigious Factor Canada Juried Sound Recording grant in 2021. In summer 2023, Osyron made their European festival debut at Rock Castle in Czechia, appearing alongside Hammerfall, Amaranthe, U.D.O., Alestorm, Beast in Black, Doro, and more. That same year, they brought their world-class sound across North America on a 16-date tour supporting Seven Kingdoms.

In summer 2024, the band returned to Europe for a six-date run, bookended by major festival appearances where they shared the stage with Judas Priest, Bruce Dickinson, Avantasia, and Accept at Masters of Rock in Czechia.

Osyron are now preparing to enter their next chapter with their upcoming self-titled fifth album.

Built around the themes of overcoming adversity, defining one’s purpose and finding one’s Telos, the record focuses on emerging victorious through struggle and perseverance. It represents everything the band has fought for, everything they have learned, and everything they are becoming.

While staying true to the foundation of their sound, the release pushes every element further, delivering an intense and emotionally charged experience that captures exactly who Osyron are as a band right now.

Line-up:
Reed Alton – Vocals
Krzysztof Stalmach – Guitar
Bobby Harley – Guitar
Tyler Corbett – Bass
Cody Anstey – Drums
