Pleiades to release debut album “Affinity With” on September 29th 2023

Pleiades Affinity With coverManchester based Art-Rock / Post Hardcore outfit Pleiades have today announced that they are set to release their highly anticipated debut album titled “Affinity With”. The album will be released on September 29th, 2023.

“Affinity With” is inspired by stories of empathy and human nature as Pleiades set out to be the sculptors of a bold new sonic landscape.

On top of the news of their upcoming debut album, Pleiades have treated fans to a new single taken from the album titled “Treppenwitz”. Produced by Joe Clayton (Pijn, Leeched) the Single focuses on irony and absurdity, paraphrasing the book “On Vigilance & Self-Examination” on expecting the best course of action from everyone else but never taking it upon oneself to adhere to the same standards.

“I’ve written a lot of conceptual story driven songs and this felt more immediate and personal so I wanted it to concentrate on my own self reflection. I’d read a book that my friend Ra’ees had recommended to me on vigilance and self reflection. I paraphrased some of it and related it to me personally. ‘How can you desire purity , when you yourself are so unclean’ is the first line of the song and it sums up the message perfectly”, says vocalist, Andrew Calderbank.

Watch the official music video for the new single “Treppenwitz” below.

Pleiades earned critical acclaim with the release of their second EP “All At Your Mercy” defying the concept of convention and all expectations of genre, with their organic and strikingly candid approach to their craft leading Kerrang! to dub them a “vital new voice in UK rock”. The band have since gone on to share stages with Pagan, Blanket, Hawthorne Heights, As Everything Unfolds and more, affirming a status worthy of a place among the highest ranks of the global scene.

Line-up:
Andrew Calderbank – Vocals
Ryan Noble – Guitarist
Andy Packwood – Guitarist
Josh Edmondson – Bass
OJ Riley – Drums
