Raised By Haze Touch the Sky coverRockshots Records is proud to announce their signing of progressive rockers Raised By Haze for the release of their debut album “Touch the Sky” for release this coming November.

Founded by the visionary guitarist Gabriele Robotti and featuring the soulful vocals of Valentina Tesio, Raised By Haze’s first full-length promises to be a musical journey like no other, embodying the essence of the band.

Gabriele Robotti, the creative force behind Raised By Haze, shares his vision, stating:
“Raised By Haze is a musical voyage that knows no bounds. ‘Touch the Sky’ is an exploration of emotions and musical styles, and we invite you to join us on this exhilarating journey”.

Valentina Tesio, the band’s soulful vocalist, adds:
“I’m honored to be part of this project that pushes the boundaries of music. Gabriele’s vision and our collective passion result in something truly exceptional”.

“Touch the Sky” offers a mesmerizing blend of soul music, heavy metal, R&B, and progressive rock, promising to captivate listeners with its genre-defying sound. The album was conceived as a reflection of all of Robotti’s musical influences, aiming to weave a common thread through the diverse musical worlds that have inspired him.

“The foundational matrix for this album is arguably progressive rock and metal, with Dream Theater being the band that ignited my passion for playing the guitar during my childhood. However, the primary objective I set for myself with this album was to amalgamate all my influences, spanning from bands like Pink Floyd and Linkin Park to Pantera and Alter Bridge, and from classic 70s rock to modern progressive metal (including Opeth, Periphery, and Between The Buried And Me). Along the way, I ventured into various other musical territories”, adds Robotti.

While “Touch the Sky” is not a concept album, the lyrics, mostly penned by Valentina, draw heavily from personal experiences and the band’s unique perspectives on life and various situations. It can be said that the music serves as an artistic representation of their outlook on life, while the lyrics mirror Valentina’s experiences. The songs you hear are the culmination of this creative journey.

To introduce their their sound to the world, Raised By Haze unveils the first single “Prediction”.

“This single represents the essence of our musical exploration, seamlessly combining the diverse influences of soul, R&B, and progressive rock. I think the song best represents the more pop-oriented side of our music. We believe it will resonate deeply with our audience. Valentina’s voice stands out throughout the whole piece singing with goosebumps intensity and once again highlighting her rapping approach in some parts. The ending with the entry of bass, drums, and distorted guitars is the culmination of the song’s climax”, says Robotti.
