Italian hard rock power trio Sandness is back with their fifth studio album, “Vertigo”, set to be released on May 16th, 2025, via Rockshots Records.
Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Alessandro Del Vecchio at Ivorytears Music Works Recording Studio (Italy), the album marks a new creative chapter for the band, shaped by personal and professional changes.
Written during a time of transition, “Vertigo” captures the feeling of taking a leap of faith into the unknown. The band embraced a new way of working together, making the songwriting process different from previous releases. The result is an album that stays true to Sandness’ signature sound: energetic, melodic, and filled with catchy hooks and anthemic choruses.
“This album was born in a very special moment for us. Life changes forced us to rethink how we create music together, and that pushed us out of our comfort zone. ‘Vertigo’ is about embracing uncertainty, but also about staying true to our identity as a band”, says Sandness.
With ten new tracks blending powerful riffs, sing-along choruses, and a mix of hard rock and power pop influences, “Vertigo” is an album for fans of UFO, D-A-D, The Darkness, and Y&T. The songs were carefully selected to reflect the band’s evolution, capturing both their high-energy live sound and a more mature, refined approach to songwriting.
To celebrate the album announcement, Sandness unleash today the first single and official music video “Not Your Dog”, a hard-hitting track packed with attitude, energy, and a message of self-empowerment.

The band will present the new album live on May 20th, 2025, at Alcatraz – Milan, opening an epic night alongside Eclipse and Swiss hard rock legends Gotthard, in what will be their only Italian show!

Sandness is an Italian hard rock power trio with two lead singers formed in 2008 and focused on an intense live and studio activity. The band started out as a 4-member band and went through some line up changes in the first years but reached the final mark in 2012.
