Stormwarning Future in Utopia coverMelodic hard rockers Stormwarning are excited to announce the release of their highly anticipated sophomore studio album, “Future in Utopia”, out on January 22nd, 2027, via Frontiers Music Srl.

The new single, “Forged in Ice and Fire”, along with an official visualizer, is out today, giving fans a taste of the upcoming record.

Sergio Mazul commented: “‘Forged in Ice and Fire’ is a song inspired by the challenges we all face in life. People and situations who takes us for breaking points, beyond our limits: broken trust, broken heart, broken dreams… Disappointments all around and you need to reborn, sometimes, dozens of times in one life. Restart from the absolute zero. Gave a filter of who or what you give permission to stay close and walk by your side since then. And yes, you can consider that there’s a lot of my personal experiences inside. But I’m sure Santiago and Marcelo faced similar situations and all Stormwarning’s audience, as well. Is a ‘call to arms’ to everyone who forged themselves as steel, those who never surrender in search of their dreams”!

“‘Forged in Ice and Fire’ is an anthem of resilience and rebirth. A powerful reminder that no matter how much life puts us through, we can always rise again, stronger than before. The perfect soundtrack for anyone who refuses to surrender”, added Santiago Ramonda.

Watch the official visualizer for “Forged in Ice and Fire” below.

With “Future in Utopia”, Stormwarning return with their second album, once again showcasing the talent and unmistakable vocal presence of Santiago Ramonda.

Building on the foundations of their debut, the new record takes the band’s melodic hard rock sound to a more mature and confident level, combining powerful guitars, polished production, memorable melodies and an abundance of strong, hook-driven songwriting.

The album was once again produced by Sergio Mazul and Marcelo Gelbcke, whose work helps give the record its powerful, polished and contemporary sound.

Marcelo Gelbcke stated: “‘Future in Utopia’ represents a significant step forward for Stormwarning. The songwriting and arrangements have matured, and the production is more elaborate, while the futuristic concept gives the album a stronger identity. Each song has its own personality, from the cinematic atmosphere of ‘Shine and Shade’ and the epic journey of ‘Argonaut’ to the classic 80s feeling of ‘Mystical’ and the high-energy drive of ‘Night Drive Therapy’. ‘Victory is Mine’ opens the album with an anthemic statement, while ‘Forged in Ice and Fire’ captures the classic Stormwarning sound with a powerful mid-tempo groove and a huge chorus”.

“The entire band delivered outstanding performances”, he added. “Felipe Souza, my longtime bandmate in Landfall, brings incredible technique, power and musicality to the drums. Santiago Ramonda has also grown tremendously as a vocalist, delivering an outstanding performance with remarkable range, power and emotion. He was much more involved in the creative process this time, contributing extensively to the vocal lines and bringing another dimension to the album. I’m incredibly proud of what we created together and excited for everyone to hear this new chapter of Stormwarning”.

Sergio Mazul also said: “‘Future in Utopia’ means a huge step into the future, in comparison with Stormwarning’s first album; and I’m not speaking about the landscape of Blade Runner or that vision from the 80’s of what would happen with the world after the year 2000: I’m speaking about evolution. ‘Shine and Shade’ is a true crime and 80’s serial killer thriller inspired by the scary Nightstalker (with a Hollywood shape). There are references to the Future World in amazing songs like ‘Timecop’, the title track or even ‘Enter the Cyber City’”.

“‘Victory is Mine’ and ‘Forged in Ice and Fire’ are songs about highs and lows and intense life experiences, ‘Argonaut’ and the ballad ‘Lovelorn’s Pyre” are EPIC Hard Rock anthems inspired by movies and bands like TEN and the 80’s roller-coaster enjoys the enthusiasts with ‘Mystical’ and ‘Night Drive Therapy’. If you sum all this inspiration coming to life from me and Marcelo and includes Santiago singing like never before, putting his soul, contributions with hundreds of ideas and details during all the process, the result is one UNIQUE album that we consider one of the best musical works of our entire careers”, he added. “I’m really curious to know how the experience of Rock, Metal and AOR fans will be with ‘Future in Utopia’ around the globe”!

Stormwarning have crafted an album that balances the classic elements of melodic rock with a fresh and contemporary approach, with Santiago’s expressive vocals at the heart of the songs.

The result is a collection of tracks filled with big choruses, emotional melodies and the kind of timeless songwriting that will appeal to both longtime fans of the genre and a new generation of listeners.

Santiago Ramonda commented: “This album is very special to me. Marcelo and Sergio have an incredible ability to understand exactly what our music needs, and their vision has been instrumental in shaping the sound of Stormwarning. Having already contributed two songs to our previous album, being more actively involved in the songwriting process this time around has made this experience even more meaningful to me. Marcelo and Sergio’s humility, professionalism and open-mindedness in embracing a collaborative approach have brought a whole new dimension to the project. Sharing the creative process across all the songs has been incredibly rewarding, giving me even more energy and motivation to keep growing as an artist and sharing my music with the world”.

“I honestly believe this album is a huge step forward from our previous record. As you embark on the journey of listening to it, you’ll keep discovering new influences and unexpected details that reflect the richness of this team. Every song brings something different, yet they all contribute to making this album a powerful and cohesive statement. This is, without a doubt, the most incredible album I’ve ever had the opportunity to work on, and I truly believe it has the potential to stand among the finest hard rock albums of recent years”, he continued.

“Future in Utopia” confirms Stormwarning as one of the exciting names in the new generation of melodic hard rock, while establishing a clear and distinctive identity for the band.

A strong second chapter for Stormwarning and another important step forward for Santiago Ramonda and the project.
