Dallas-based heavy metal unit Warhog has officially signed an international deal with Astral Haven Records, setting the stage for worldwide release of their forthcoming studio album, scheduled for release in early summer 2027.
Speaking on the label partnership, guitarist Eric Kendall states:
“We are thrilled to be signing with Astral Haven Records. From our first conversations, it was clear they understand what we’re trying to do, and they’re as excited about this next chapter as we are. We’ve put a lot into this new music, and we couldn’t ask for a better partner to help us get it out there. We look forward to a long and productive relationship with the whole Astral Haven team”.
Ahead of the new full-length record, the quartet returns with their crushing stand-alone single, “No Amount of Light”, out now all major streaming platforms and available for purchase directly on Bandcamp and here.
Heavy, brooding, and drenched in atmosphere, the track signals a bold new direction toward Warhog’s forthcoming full-length album. Where past releases hit with raw force, “No Amount of Light” lets the shadows creep in, pairing crushing weight with a dark, cinematic tension that lingers long after the final note. It represents an undeniable statement of intent for the band’s next chapter: bleaker, more immersive, and more daring, punctuated by stylistic surprises along the way.
The single also marks the recorded debut of new drummer Blake Younger, whose dynamic playing drives the track’s slow-burning menace and eruptive heaviness.

Vocalist/Guitarist Scott shared the profound vulnerability behind the writing of the new single:
“It’s been a rough few years. I was struggling as a dad while my wife recovered from a near-fatal stroke, and my usual happy-go-lucky outlook flipped into constant anxiety. This song is my reflection on feeling confused and pessimistic about the world we’re handing the next generation. The fun twist is that I wrote it with Blake’s drumming style in mind before we even started looking for a new drummer. The fact that ‘No Amount of Light’ became the first track he recorded with us feels like either a fluke or destiny”.
Drummer Blake Younger reflects on joining the lineup and entering the studio:
“It feels great to be playing with these guys again after our time together in a previous band. We have a chemistry that’s hard to find, and jumping back in felt natural. ‘No Amount of Light’ was also the first chance I had to record with my new RL Drums and Omete cymbals since being sponsored by both, and I couldn’t wait to hear them on tape! I’m really proud of how it sounds and excited for people to hear what’s coming next”.
Guitarist and producer Eric Kendall adds:
“‘No Amount of Light’ gave me serious ‘Chemical Wedding’ vibes, the darker side of Bruce Dickinson’s solo work, and that got me fired up to work on it. I produced and engineered the track, and Blake’s drums came out amazing. It’s great to be working with him again”.
Bassist Justin “Juice” Hopper comments:
“I got solo bass lines in the breakdown. Do you know how rare that is?!”
Hailing from the heart of Dallas, Texas, Warhog is a 4-piece metal outfit determined to carve out their own unique space in the heavy music world. Formed in early 2020, the band spent the early days of the pandemic collaborating remotely and tracking demos that materialized into their debut effort, Call of the Voyager. Combining elements of traditional and groove metal, the band infuses their deep love for 80s and 90s action cinema, science fiction, and fantasy into their sonic output, crafting an expansive and immersive listening experience.
Drawing inspiration from iconic pillars such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Mastodon, and Pantera, Warhog balances driving riffs with melodic, storytelling vocals. Having shared stages supporting heavyweights including Crypta, Drowning Pool, Helstar, Crimson Glory, and D.R.I., as well as headlining legendary Dallas venue Trees and mounting the 2026 multi-state Escape Velocity tour, Warhog steps confidently into their most ambitious era yet.
“No Amount of Light” is the entry point into this new era. Details regarding the new studio album, including album artwork, complete track listing, singles, and pre-orders, will be unveiled in the coming months.
