Swedish melodic rockers H.E.A.T are back with their eighth studio album, “Welcome to the Future”, released almost five years after their previous album, which marked the comeback of their original singer, Kenny Leckremo.
With Kenny’s powerful voice at the forefront once again, the band continues its journey of delivering high-octane, melodic hard rock. Their music pays homage to the classic 80s arena sound while offering a fresh take for today’s listeners.
The production is clean and punchy. The album was produced by the band along with David Castillo, while it was mastered by the Swedish producer Chris Snyder.
The album kicks off with the first released single, “Disaster”, a high-octane declaration that sets the tone for the album’s blend of classic and modern hard rock.
“Bad Time for Love” slows down a bit, allowing the keyboards to create a beautiful atmosphere. The catchy chorus makes the song a winner.
“Running to You” delivers pure, melodic, hard rock vibes straight from the late 80s!
“Call My Name” is an astounding mid-tempo melodic rock anthem, as simple as this!
“In Disguise” is another fine track with pop-rock melodies.
“The End” is pure cinematic flair, with 80s synths à la Survivor and some nice hooks.
“Rock Bottom” slams in with heavy riffs and driving rhythms. It’s a raw, energetic track with an arena rock vibe.
“Children of the Storm” starts quietly and builds into a defiant, uplifting anthem. It showcases the band’s talent for creating memorable melodies that stick with you long after the song ends. Another great sing-along song!
“Losing Game” is another fine melodic rocker with some 90s touches.
“Paradise Lost” is one of the most ambitious tracks on the album. It has nice keys, solid riffs, and great melodies. Another H.E.A.T trademark!
“Tear It Down (R.N.R.R.)” is a rock & roller with raw power.
Finally, “We Will Not Forget” closes the album on a note of resilience and hope. A wonderful melodic rocker with nice hooks.
H.E.A.T continues to do what they do best.
