The Commoners is a Canadian rock band that is comprised by Chris Medhurst on lead vocals & guitar, Ross Hayes Citrullo on lead guitar, Ben Spiller on bass & piano and Adam Cannon on drums. The new studio album, “Find a Better Way”, features guest appearances from Michael Ekhart (pedal steel), Jeff Heisholt (keys), Michael Evans-Branagh (organ, piano, and Rhodes), and multi-instrumentalist Ben Healey.

The guys are is influenced by rock acts such as The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers Band, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company and so on. The band is known for their intense vocals, the rockin’ guitars, and the engaging compositions. The concept of the album is about finding a more harmonious way to coexist on the planet and to approach everyday things in a different way. It encourages us to think outside the box and to strive for a more peaceful and sustainable future.

The band offers a blend of classic rock, southern rock, and blues-rock music with a modern touch, incorporating their influences into their own unique style. The album was produced by the guitarist Ross Hayes Citrullo and the final outcome is full, tight and contemporary. The Commoners are skilled musicians and songwriters, and their music is full of emotion. They clearly like what they do, which sets them apart from other bands in the scene.

The Commoners have created an excellent album that pays homage to classic rock and blues-rock, while still providing a fresh sound to the genre. With their unique musical approach, they have managed to capture the essence of the past and bring it into the present. “Find a Better Way” is highly recommended to all rockers who are young at heart and wanna feel free.
