Dynazty Dark Arts coverDynazty dive head-first into a new chapter by signing with Napalm Records. In the years since their formation, the band has walked a path unlike other bands. With the first album with their new label, “Dark Arts”, coming on March 5th, 2027, the Swedish masters of melodies invite listeners on a journey of their own.

Reaching far beyond what they have crafted before and evolving as musicians and songwriters as well as people, Dynazty explore the darkness of the human condition. Throughout twelve new songs, “Dark Arts” takes us by the hand and guides us into the deepest depth of our psyche – and safely back out again.

Dynazty about the signing:
“We are greatly excited about joining forces with Napalm Records for this next phase of Dynazty. A label and team that understands this band and shows real enthusiasm and willingness to invest time, effort, and muscle into it is exactly what we have been looking for for a long time! We’re off to a great start already with ‘Dark Arts’ and can’t wait to keep going”!

Along with the album announcement comes the first single: “The Mission” serves modern power metal melodies in heroic bombast, set to stay in your head for a long time – the dynamic voice of Nils Molin (also Amaranthe) will make sure of that. Dynazty’s own next mission lies in their upcoming tour supporting metal legends Accept celebrating their 50th anniversary – with genre icons recognizing younger heroes, the Swedish quintet is set for a bright future.

Dynazty about “The Mission”:
“‘The Mission’ is a song about the relentless nature of the human spirit to overcome obstacles and insurmountable hardships. One of the first songs we wrote for the album and a great first showing of the album ‘Dark Arts’ – ‘The Mission’ is a Dynazty anthem we feel strongly for. Enjoy and stay tuned for a whole lot more”!

Watch the official music video for “The Mission” below.

With their tenth full-length, Dynazty have melodic metal and power metal shake hands in a suspenseful opus. Twelve songs, masterfully diverse and focused in their separate goals, unveil the darkest parts of the human soul and contrast them with a certain sense of hope in our humanity. “Dark Arts” expands the band’s mighty reach in two equally vast acts, showing Dynazty at the top of their game.

Dynazty about “Dark Arts”:
“We set out with a clear goal when writing ‘Dark Arts’. And in the efforts and quest of creating the most all-encompassing and ultimate Dynazty experience and album yet, we drove ourselves further than we’ve ever done before, close to the brink of exhaustion and literal madness while touring for ‘Game of Faces’ concurrently with writing this one. But I do think that we ultimately clawed our way over the finish line and completed our mission, because to me at least, ‘Dark Arts’ is the band’s most accomplished work and something we feel genuinely proud of. And to make a long story shorter and sum up the album in fewer words: It’s one hell of a melodic heavy metal ride and journey from start to finish. The band is firing on all cylinders on this one – don’t sleep on it! P.S.: If you are looking for the real deep dive experience on the concept of the album, look no further than the Deluxe Version of ‘Dark Arts’ with 2 extra songs and fantastic artwork by Péter Sallai. Highly recommended”!

“Lay Down The Law” kicks off the first of two acts and starts the descent with a melody equally powerful and catchy. Dynazty are marching towards the abyss, and they’re doing it quickly, hammering in every note and elusively joyful keyboard line on their way. The title track is reached early: “Dark Arts” is, just like its lyrics say, “striking at the speed of the light” and especially charming with its nostalgic melodies. “Valkyrie” picks up on the earworm qualities of its predecessors with ease while also mirroring the steady path further into inner darkness through its instrumentals. Merely the heroic feeling assures listeners that Dark Arts will offer a way out. Following, “Red Herring” lures with prominent drum beats and instantly catchy singalong passages right from the start. Also featuring dizzyingly high vocals by frontman Nils Molin, its catchiness is not at all a red herring, but a herald of “Dark Arts”’ mesmerizing power. Dynazty slow down with “Call on Me” while losing none of their impact. From its gentle intro to soaring chorus, the song takes listeners “to the edge of the waterfall of the human soul”, the music a reassuring companion. Fully committing to an emotional waltz time, “The Unraveling” is just as encouraging as “Mirror of the Soul” right after, whose strong climaxing structure marks the start of the album’s second act, the ascent. “The Mission” serves heroic bombast, successfully designed to stay in your head for a long time. “Shadow of the Abyss” adds a rave vibe and dark riffs to Dynazty’s gripping new album, yet again molding it into a convincing track by pairing it with Molin’s equally dynamic voice. “Candlelight Mysteria” feels like a warm embrace in its fantastical storytelling, whereas “Broken Enigma” unfolds as a sweepingly infectious and fun track. Wrapping up the album is “Dark Matter”, which grows from a slow symphonic opening into grand storytelling. Everything falls into place as Dynazty connect the previous compositions into one all-encompassing epic.

“Dark Arts” will be available in the following formats:
